It has been some time now since BMW revealed its plan to create the M2. Sadly BMW has been doing such a great job keeping the blinds shut on details about the next M bearer. Now that we are getting closer to its release, we are starting to get teased with more and more details about the car.

Here is what we know so far:

2016 BMW M2 Coupe (F87)

Design:

    - N55 Motor 3.0 Litre with a forged creankshaft, modified pistons and up-rated intercooling design.

    - 370hp* 369lb-ft of torque* (with overboost)

    - 0-62 mph in 4.3 seconds (with DCT 7 Speed) 4.5 seconds (with Manual Gearbox)

    - Wider frony and rear wheel arches compared to the M235

    - M Side gills on wider front wing, M boot lid spoiler and M quad tailpipes

    - Perfect 50:50 weight distribution

        - 8.8'' control display with iDrive touch controller and 8 programmable buttons
